A brief update

Wow, over a year and four months since the last post. Not to say how late my articles are. I have a lot that I could say. I have a lot that I want to say. I have been through quite a bit in the last sixteen months. Let me just summarize by this:
I bought a bookstore over a year ago, and turned it from unprofitable to profitable. It wasn't quite profitable enough to pay my rent and utilities for home, but it was paying for itself and then some.
A few months ago I entered into contract, buying another bookstore; one that could potentially sustain our needs.
For a little while, yet, I have the first bookstore to pay rent toward. An expense I do not enjoy and want to be free from as soon as possible. God will take care of it.
Then there are personal issues, and these I will not detail; but I hope to write articles that will be a blessing to everyone who reads them, and will help you to walk with God.
I will tell you this, Satan is our adversary. He hates us who belong to God. He wants us to be defeated, he wants our lives in ruins. He can't make that happen, but he desires to have all of us that he may sift us as wheat. You remember what he did to Peter? Oh, but Jesus prayed for Peter! The devil didn't know what he was doing when he messed with Peter. When the storm clouds rolled away, Peter stood up on Pentecost and began the turning of the world upside down! The devil still hasn't learned after all these years. That old serpent with curse the day he laid his hands on me.

I just wanted to put these two messages on here for anyone who would like to listen to them.

First is a message preached shortly after a week of Revival. God touched and blessed us in the meeting, glory to his name! Also, if I remember correctly, this was preached the day after we brought my son home from the hospital, February 17, 2008.

This is just a short message on the forgiveness of sin through the blood of Jesus Chirst.

We Need a Revision of the King James Bible

We are living in a day where many translations exist on the market for Christians to choose from. Many people have put forth arguements for and against various translations. Confusion abounds among the people of God, and the debate has been reduced in many places to emotional appeals, faulty comparisons, and ad hominem attacks. I preached this message in a Sunday School service at Faith Independent Baptist Church. I pray it will bless you.

Soon I will be making some notes on a book by Rick Norris called "The Unbound Scriptures." It may take quite a bit of time due to the book being over 500 pages long. I may delay that and give some notes on Robert Joyner's book "King James Only?" But I don't want to simply jump into rebuttals of other authors. There are plenty of writers who have published reviews of such volumes as James White's ridiculous "The King James Only Cotroversy." Among those writers are Peter Ruckman, Gail Riplinger, and Texe Marrs, (those whom James White specifically desired to attack) but also David Cloud, Dr. Kirk D. DiVietro, Donald Waite, and Thomas Holland to name a few. Many correspondences between the opposing parties may be found on the internet. But enough of that for now.
I am not going to start this page with a list of refutations of those who I do not agree with. First I must put down where I do stand on these issues, because what I do believe can only in part be established by declaring the errors of others. This is to come soon....

Just getting started...

I'm new to this blogging, which I am afraid will be painfully apparent as you read these posts. My wife has a blog and so many of her friends do too, so I decided to make one of my own. It's just a spare time, idle time, killer. Please bear with me as I work through the bugs (I am a perfectionist when it comes to writting), and hopefully while I learn some things anyone interested enough to read these pages will learn as well. God help me, and bless you all for his dear Son's sake.
